TRAINING: Casulahahaha! Comedy Workshops - Lina Kastoumis

Last year I wanted to badly to do a bit of stand up comedy, but unfortunately didn't have the balls to at the Takeout Hong Kong Comedy Club. I recall salivating at other people's punchlines and comical stories while also figuring out my own comical life. But hey, with anything, you would need some training and guess what? here's an opportunity not to miss if you want to tick off "comedy" as a part of your life's bucket list. The uber cool funny lady and friend of mine, Lina Kastoumis will be running this one at the Casula Powerhouse so if you are really really keen. Register now! It FREE!

Starting in November the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre will be launching a series of workshops that will explore and document the love our community has for comedy.
Facilitators will get out and about, welcoming people to be part of workshops and sharing sessions with the aim of finding out:
- What cracks you up?
- What is the funniest thing that ever happened to you?
- Who are your favourite comedians and funny people?
In February, leading on from the workshops, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre will invite a Comedian In Residence to work with people we met in the workshops to pull together ‘Double Whammy’, a laugh-out-loud night that takes you to the funny spots, people and ideas found in the Casula neighbourhood. Not your usual “comedian on a microphone stand” – Casulahahaha hopes to explore new forms of comedy and invite individuals and communities to help our Comedian in Residence put together something completely unique..and hilarious.
Stay tuned to find out who our Comedian in Residence will be.
