CASTING AUDITIONS: Vietnamese/ Korean Movie - Nguyen Thi Hoa


There is a new independent film directed by Seewoo Kim, produced by Andy Minh Trieu &; Holen Jin called "Nguyen Thi Hoa". They are in the current final stages of casting for themain Vietnamese roles in Australia.

Hoa (25-30):Hoa is an introvert but is a determined character who pursues her objectives silently and does not give up easily. She graduated a prestigious university and works in a large law firm.

Jennifer (25-30):Jennifer has a bright personality and as a second generation American. She thinks more like an American than Korean. She has just completed her intern and is on her first job as a doctor.

Linh (55-60):Linh fled Vietnam after the war and spent some time in a Cambodian refugee camp where she met an Australian soldier and moved to Australia with him and Hoa.She has many emotional scars but has great endurance, and accepts life in a calm manner.

The final casting session is on this SATURDAY, 9.45am-6pm, in Carramar. This is a great opportunity to try yourself our at auditions, meet the director and producers and learn a thing or two with acting.

The film is set in LA America, Sydney Australia and Cam Ranh,Vietnam. It features predominantly Korean characters but rather than reflecting their particular cultural perspective a more general human values becomes the focus. The film is presented like a play transported onto the screen. The scenes oscillate between limited space and features past and present, scene overlapping scene, space on space and character upon character in the same time frame and space.
