Week 1 - Connections Project - 16 Feb

Returning back to the schools with the Connections Project was such an invigoration as the kids all wanted to know what is the final stages of the program. The majority knew about

their absences during the 5 day holiday intensive component (only 5 made it to the final outcome, of which, came predominately from Lurnea High School). But setting aside this, they all continue forth with the activities that went before them.

Stage 3 met that we got straight into business and I'm ever so grateful to have the support of Danielle to give me a hand with the classes and some input into critiquing their performances.

The first session coming back delved into more theatre improvisational activities, from creating on-the-spot advertisements selling magical products (in reality, it was a scarf) to building scenes with absurd characters and script development, the kids all actively got involved in it.

Fairfield HS had new faces and the numbers were surprising large in comparison to Lurnea HS (after school classes are harder to get the numbers). Lurnea's venue was in a hot and stuffy demountable and we all hoped that next week we got an upgrade.
