My first day of being 25 has been an emotional limbo. It started off at 5am when my eyes abruptedly opened (could it have been the 25 year old biological clock ticking?), after 3 hours of rolling around in bed and contemplating about the day ahead, I finally woke up to being with some “Body Combat” at the local gym.
This session has got to be the worse of my performance yet. While all the Rambo-like Amazonian women were going strong in their “hiyahs” and “hoohrahs” I was struggled to respond with anything substantial. What’s wrong with me? The cogs of 25 just clicked in mechanics section of my mind?
Actually, the month leading into this day was slightly been dreary. I live in this weird sense that time just passes by so quickly, galloping pass and now I’m on the Shinkansen. I know what I want, I know I’ll have to work bloody hard to get it, but I guess the number 25 just doesn’t sit too well with me. 20 was cool, 21 was even better, 22 was so-so, 23 and 24 was a whir and then bang! You land in 25.
Joseph Hieu Dinh popped by and gave me on update of what I call “Vietlish Influence” the who’s who of praising what we do, and of the new breed of what I term as “Anti-Vietlish”. Joe was in an upbeat and enthusiastic mood for the day so I got him to transfer his energy in peeling potatos, carrots eggs (and surprisingly his fat butterfingers did amazingly well!).
Mum came up with the idea of having the birthday down at her Carramar Swan Bakery and that was probably the best idea I heard of in a long while. Guess what? Its “Jackie Chan” themed! Shall blog the outcomes next time.
In the meantime, a shout out to all the facebook addicts for the lovely Birthday wishes…it really made my day!
