Chinese Storytellers - My Stories

Five storytellers with very different life experiences will have you enthralled with tales linking the past and present. Actors Joy Hopwood and Teik-Kim Pok, poet Mary Tang, visual artist Mai Long and someone you all know, Daphne Lowe Kelley will present stories that emerged during a workshop run by Performance 4A.

The workshops were conducted by photographer and performer William Yang. Since 1989 William Yang has been performing monologues with image projection and music in the theatre. His pieces have toured Australia and internationally, and he brings his expertise to this presentation, helping the presenters shape their entertaining and moving stories about family, ambition, determination and struggle against the odds.

This event is co-presented by CHAA and Performance4A, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to inspiringAsian-Australian performance.
