FESTIVAL-goers will be able to experience an outdoor-cinema atmosphere at this year's celebrations.
For the first time, a large screen will be set up on John Street, Cabramatta, for a series of local films to be played.
The screenings will begin at 1pm and include short films produced by those involved in the Information and Cultural Exchange (ICE) arts and media organisation.
Maria Tran, supporting director of Rumble Pictures, said this was a good scheme to get more people involved in film, arts and culture in the fairfield region.
``This is the first time the
Moon Festival has gone digital,'' she said.
``This is a good chance for those to see their work uploaded on the big screen. It's like a YouTube world for them.''
Rumble Pictures will present its 2005 feature film Maximum Choppage, a kung-fu action-packed short story created by local volunteer members.
It took four years to make and has had screenings in a number of Australian cities.
In addition to the films, Ms Tran and the Vietlish Entertainment crew will be documenting the festival throughout the day.
Maximum Choppage will begin screening at 5.45pm.
