EVENT: Dong Tam Martial Arts Open Day | 12 Aug @ 1pm

Dong Tam Youth Martial Arts Association, one of Australia's largest Vietnamese non profit martial arts association based in Western Sydney will be having its launch on Sunday 12 August, 2012 at 1-3pm, 187 The Horsley Drive, Fairfield.This will be the first of many open days.

Open Day allows the public to see our forever changing facilities , enjoy our martial arts demonstrations, lion dancing, taste tradition Vietnamese foods, as well as experience our Vietnamese Culture and ancestral ceremony.

Come meet Hong Kong film director, Antony Szeto (Director of Wushu produced by Jackie Chan, starring Samo Hung) who will be amongst our highlight guest.

Dong Tam has been a catalyst of cultural diversity around since the late 80s and has been a crucible place for young people coming from refugee backgrounds to develop tradition in martial arts skills as well as become leaders in their field and contribute to Australian society.

There are numerous martial arts schools running classes 7 days a week which includes Hapkido, Karate, Shaolin Kung Fu,Judo,Teakwondo, kick boxing, Lion dance , Dragon Dance  and for advanced level training, Xtreme Martial Arts.

In preparation for performances through out the year the kids have been highly motivated for this occasion , and I hope that Dong Tam will be able to celebrate their young and emerging talent to the public.
