Last week I was pushing, prodding and reminding my little Film Clubsters (the Vietnamese descent ones) to submit to the 2011 Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival. I don't take it lightly when one of them says they don't have content to submit, I say go out there and get it. Camera equipment is accessible and we all just got to get our butts up and moving, and flexing those storytelling muscles.
Quan Tran will be submitting his first ever short film debut, and Thuy Ng will be reupdating a personal digital story of hers. David Minh Tam Nguyen has taken a bit of a vox poppy approach and has decided to interview a host of people including his tomboy kick arse girlfriend, lecturing parents, martial arts teachers and there's me! (Yay!).
I can't wait to see all their submissions and all of them are winners to me for giving it a go!
