Australian Film Festival is set to be a blast in 2010. Like any aspiring filmmaker, its only smart to be plugged in to the events and know the who’s who in the filmmaking realm. The Australian Film Festival was born out out of the Australian Film Week in 2009 and now sports are very sexy website and promising outcome for first year week event.
Great news! Maximum Choppage: Round 2 will be a part of the Australian Film Festival, with the final dates yet to be confirmed. I have recently handed over the marketing connections to Timothy Ly and fingers crossed that he will do it justice.

Brief on the Australian Film Festival
With the iconic Randwick Ritz Cinema as its’ screening HQ, the Australian Film Festival opens on February 24 with a special Popcorn Taxi event featuring fabulous Australian filmmakers. Over the next 12 days be inspired by classic films, unreleased features, outdoor screenings, seminars and workshops, fringe events with Q & A's by Australia's best filmmakers, the Spot Food & Film street festival and the Australian Film Walk of Fame.
Featuring traditional and new media productions, classic films, unreleased features and digital genres, the Festival is underpinned by the unique AFF Next Wave Film Centre, educating Australia’s future filmmakers. Then, on the 7th March, the AFF closes the streets surrounding the Ritz Cinema for an exciting Food & Film Festival, the inducting of this year’s Australian Film Walk of Fame recipient and the final event, the Australian Short Film Festival.
